Our Team
Founding Pastor – Gene Glaeser
Gene has an unbelievably broad experience that brings relevant, 21st-century applications from a focus on Christ-centered preaching. Gene’s experience includes serving as the Founding Pastor of a successful church startup as well as serving as Sr. Pastor of a large church. Similarly, in business, Gene has filled Sr. VP sales roles in several startup companies as well as Fortune 500 companies.
Gene and his wife Kaye have a deep love for the people in the Highland Lakes area over their seventeen years here. Through prayer and conversations, it became evident the time was now to start a non-denominational Bible church in the area, including Horseshoe Bay and the growing subdivisions at Hwy 281 and Hwy 71. They are excited to be a part of this moment.
When not working on sermons, encouraging people or taking care of daily items for Lake Church, you will find Gene at the pickleball courts or golf course or sneaking off to see his five grandchildren.

Worship Leader – Brandon Alan
Who in this region has not heard Brandon in concert, singing his melodic country sound with unbelievable guitar skill? Brandon brings years of musical and worship-leading experience to Lake Church. Brandon will use these skills, along with a well-trained band, to draw us closer to God, deepen our love for Jesus Christ and bond our congregation together into a community.
Brandon and Amber have lived in the Highland Lakes area for over ten years and have been very active in Horseshoe Bay. Their love for the people who live here has led them to want to join in the effort to launch Lake Church.
When not performing around the state or preparing for wonderful Sunday experiences, you will find Brandon spending important time with his family and especially doing important things with his son Preston, like playing ball and doing homework.

Why Lake Church?
Life is very challenging. We all carry emotional, physical and spiritual scars. We yearn for comfort as we chase the latest philosophical whims or trendy gadgets.
We soon realize the pursuit of all these things leaves us spiritually thirsty. Does anything exist to satisfy our thirst?
A woman desperately searching for anything to quench her spiritual thirst asked Jesus the same question – “quench my thirst”. Jesus replied, “Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
This is why we began Lake Church. We want everyone in our area to experience the living water from Jesus. This living water provides meaning, purpose and life to us 21st century wanderers.
Come and drink with us the living water of Jesus!
